Bud Finally Finishes Prince Of Persia......

.....and is pissed as hell. Ok, first of all this post is gonna have a spoiler, as the ending is what made me pretty mad. I don't know about anyone else but what keeps me playing a game or even interests me in a game, is almost 80 percent of the time, the story line. I mean its what drives me to keep playing, that thought of, what happens next? How does it all end? This is the reason why I decided to marathon the game till the end. In this games case it makes the repetitive tasks worth it. Worth it till the end sequence, in which you have to run and undo everything that you just did for the past 10+ hours......all to "save" the female character in the end. Now I don't get mad easily over bad or crappy endings in games, but this literally made me want to throw the game in the trash. I also regretted even purchasing the game in the first place. The end honestly ruined any fun or memorable experiences I had with this game. I dunno, it just strikes me as stupid to say: "Hey we are gonna offer you this awesome experience of sealing away this ancient demon lord that was set free by a father trying to save his daughter, ok now that you sealed him away, set him free upon the world to save the same character that this whole mess started off with"

Ok I think im done ranting, does anyone else have any thoughts on this if so please share. As for me i will be trading it in for red faction: guerilla. Lets hope it fetches a decent amount so I can get something worthwhile out of this experience.

Wal-mart automated game trade-in kiosks.......FTW?????

Wal-mart is currently testing this system in the Northeastern part of the nation. Basically you scan the bar code on the game your willing to part with, the machine then gives you a quote, and upon accepting the quote you get credit on your credit or debit card.......in 2-3 days. E-play, the company that is partnering with Wal-mart for this awkward idea, has said that if successful they may offer Wal-mart store credit.

Eh...I was wondering when Wal-mart was gonna get there slimy tentacles into this area. The only action I think these are gonna get are wii games from desperate soccer moms who need the money.

On a lighter note, we will be recording episode 11 this thursday. If you guys have any questions or have something you would like us to talk about on the show just leave us a comment.

Ghostbusters Opening Cinematic

Friends, if your like me and have been eagerly awaiting this game then you will love this clip. If you haven't, then watch it! I will admit halfway through I was half-watching almost becoming disappointed, but then it saved itself and quite honestly gave me goosebumps.

Enjoy

Dead Space 100%

So i just finished my complete play through on dead space. I had been debating on trading the game in for a while, but with three achivements left, I felt the need to go all the way. After all is said and done, I love this game, I have literally played through six times, and the game still was able to make me feel worried. The last 2 achievements I had were, the impossible playthrough, and the one gun playthrough. Now unfortunately I decided to do these at the same time.....bad idea. This REALLY kicked up the dificulty of the game, but at the same time it took out the "oh crap no ammo" part of the game. It seemed to me that 95% percent of the ammo found in the game is based on the guns you have in your inventory. Not sure if thats a solid fact but there was never a point that I was "low". Now, with the stress of ammo off of my mind, I thought that the game would be a breeze especially with the dlc 'elite' suit. Literally, the first room I walked into I was dead in 45 seconds. On the impossible setting more 'elite' enimes pop up, and the lurkers that would jump on you if you got too close, now seem to become the clingy babies they once were and will run at you for a nasty hug. After I finished the final boss and the achivement notification popped up, I really felt a sense of acomplishment, and I then realized dead space didnt have alot of stupid achivements. Stupid achivements seem to be in every game nowadays, (ex.Fable 2 dress like a goth for 5 points), so it was nice to have a game that actually rewarded you for a difficult task. Anyway if anyone hasn't checked out Dead Space yet, DO IT! and crank it up to the hard difficulty if you really want to get the blood pumping.

I finally picked up fable 2 and im about halfway through the main quest so I should have my thoughts on that for the next show.

Also I would like to publicly welcome travis to the team, and thank him for the awesome posts he's done.

Knights of the Nine/Shivering Isles

So I recently got a hold of the game of the year edition of oblivion, which is a two disc set. Disc one being the game and disc two being the two expansions. On the last show I commented on how I tried to do the shivering isles but kept getting beat down when I tried to enter. My character was also too evil to do the knights of the nine quest, so I decided to create a new character to experience the quests and am pretty glad I did. I started off with Knights of the Nine and overall I enjoyed this one the most. The storyline was awesome, and I loved searching for all the crusader relics, it had a real indiana jones feel to it. After I completed that quest I moved on to the shivering isles which at first I hated, but slowly I was sucked into the quest and couldn't put it down. By the end of the quest line, when there was nothing left to do and I was at the entrance back to cyrodill, I felt like i was leaving wonderland. Like I didnt wanna go back to the boring "reality". I would recommend either DLC to anyone. If you had to pick one I would go with Knights of the nine. It was shorter, but better in my opinion.

KOTOR 1 & 2

Ok, so recently I picked up both KOTOR 1 & 2 from my brother. I've played both a little, but remember liking 2 more. This could be due to the fact that I have never completed 1 because I watched a couple folks play through taris so I always find that part of the game mind-numbingly boring. I beat 2 but, I was told by a friend that 1 is better, so if anyone knows if it is worth it to power through the first part of the game then let me know. Anyway though I'm still amazed at how an original xbox game can sometimes play worse on the 360 than the original. This hasn't stopped me from playing the game though because it is pretty darn amazing. It would be crazy awesome though if the load times didnt take an average of two and a half min, and it wouldnt lag so bad that i have to load to an earlier save because it literally freezes up.
Also read on Kotaku that someone has come up with a recipe for Nuka-Cola. If anyone tries this or has tried it let me know how it tastes.

My name is bud, i'm the sensitive one.

Hey errbody,

I have been meaning to post on here but I have no internet right now, due to the fact the my roomate wants to spend his money for bills on cheap women. Anyway, I picked up Mirrors Edge last night. I am already on chapter 6 and very pleased thus far. It's really nice to have a first person action game that dosent feel like the writers for the WWE designed it. I will have a full review for it by the first show. Also I was wonderin? Does anyone think that gears will EVER have a satisfying ending? Because its starting to feel like the LOTR trilogy to me. Well, thats all that I got for right now.

Everyone have a great holiday celebration.
