My name is bud, i'm the sensitive one.

Hey errbody,

I have been meaning to post on here but I have no internet right now, due to the fact the my roomate wants to spend his money for bills on cheap women. Anyway, I picked up Mirrors Edge last night. I am already on chapter 6 and very pleased thus far. It's really nice to have a first person action game that dosent feel like the writers for the WWE designed it. I will have a full review for it by the first show. Also I was wonderin? Does anyone think that gears will EVER have a satisfying ending? Because its starting to feel like the LOTR trilogy to me. Well, thats all that I got for right now.

Everyone have a great holiday celebration.

  1. first off: "my roomate wants to spend his money for bills on cheap women" that was amazing.

second: Mirror's Edge is awesome. I don't really like the combat that much, feels tacked-on, but still cool. The free-running is genius.

third: Gears, Gears, Gears...it's love/hate with me and Gears. I actually didn't mind the ending to the second one bc it felt right with the story, the after-credits bit was quite a shocker, even though it was hinted at throughout the game.

  2. So is the "no weapons" achievement in Mirror's Edge even doable? I was thinking of trying because of all of the "combat feels out of place" comments.

  3. Matt,

Thanks for coming over to GGTL and commenting on one of our articles - we love it when people take an active interest in what we write. Also, I noticed you've added us as one of your 'Blogs I'm Watching', so thanks for that as well.

So, you're just starting out, huh? All I can say is good luck mate, and you're always welcome over at GGTL for a chat or if you need any help with anything.

To your post. I've not actually had the pleasure of playing the full version of Mirror's Edge yet, but I was feverishly downloading the demo the moment it hit the PlayStation Store. I thought it was absolutely fantastic, something really special and original. However, I didn't think all that much to the combat system; it felt awkward and (as Jimmy said) a bit tacky. I've never played Gears, so I can't really comment there.

I'll be watching this blog closely and I hope to see it grow into something really special, and I have no doubt it will. You have a good, interesting format that (hopefully) your viewers will enjoy, and I for one will be watching MWGs progress during the coming weeks and months.

I can only sign off by saying, have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. I hope you have a great time.

    Sincerely,

  4. I tried the "no weapons" thing and got all the way to the warehouse with the SWAT guys, then said screw it. So, i'm not sure, with the awkward combat, i'm thinking only a select few can do it.

  5. I have a feeling i'm not one of the select few. I'll probly give it a try though.
