I'm not even a huge fan of the console version of Mirror's Edge, but I have to say that this is probably one of the best flash games I've ever played. If you haven't played it yet, Check it out at MirrorsEdge2D.com
I don't know. It seems like a great game, I guess I just wasn't interested enough in any aspect of the game to invest a whole lot of time in it. I played the demo, and then a few time trial levels on bud's copy, and it just wasn't something I wanted to play. I'm loving the 2D version though, so maybe it'll be inspiration to play the console version.
Oh now that is cool! (I didn't like the original much either but I guess because the game was marketed in such a way that I thought the gameplay would be much different. Regardless, I think this 2D version is clever and funny.)
My boyfriend has long been of the opinion that 2d games are coming back and has been busy as a bee programming an original one of his own. Megaman 9 was an early confirmation of this. I hope he's right!
Hope you don't mind if I make a story of this over at Gamer Grrlz, guys!
I can certainly see how the console version isn't for everyone. There really isn't an awful lot of depth to the game, it's basically start at point A and get to point B and here's your three buttons. For me I enjoyed the shortness and 'stripped down' nature of the game.
